Stand Still
‘Stand Still’ is two screen-printed 6mm plywood tubes set. 840 x 150 x 150 mm in size which has been a development on from the paper tubes (experimental works). Inspired by Dean Lane Skatepark, Bristol.
Seeing the work from all angles is something I considered while making ‘Stand Still’. To me it’s big part of my practice, a way of capturing a moment in time and being taken to a place through a similarity of seeing graffiti or process of mark making on a daily basis.
This project has allowed me to development of interest of place/space as well as revisit interests from previous project, for example in ‘Feeling Blue’ the idea of having a colour inside the tubes. Making the viewer question why and through this allowed me to question how else this project could develop.
Made January to March 2022
